Preface

This is a portfolio which highlights my journey through the Education Assistant Certificate program; where I am now and where I am headed. Every piece of new learning is a departure point for new exploration. As I integrate the skills and concepts presented in this program my curiosity drives me to dig deeper. I intend for this reflective portfolio to double as a guide for future learning, infinitely expanding as I gather new knowledge and ways of knowing. The mind-map format is representative of a potent "Ah ha!" moment for me as I realized how this medium could be adapted to be more commensurate with the way I think and work; directly experiencing what this can mean for my students.
