I was delighted to hear Dr. Shelley Moore speak so eloquently about the very aspect of Inclusive Education that dives me to participate in the conversation on how we can do better to make all our students feel not just included, but truly valued as equitable members of a community. As an advocate for my daughter, I have directly witnessed the positive impact a great EA can have with a subtle guiding hand. I've also seen how the presence of an EA can impair the development of peer connections. I hope to support and bring together our learners by identifying and communally accommodating common needs, modelling various ways they can support each other.
